India can save 1.7 million lives by shifting to electric vehicles by 2050, says a new ICCT report. Currently, vehicular pollution causes 90,000 premature deaths each year. India ranks second globally in such deaths. Moving to 100% electric vehicles by 2045 could help fix this and stop many asthma cases.
