Pune's air quality shows little improvement: ESR

Pune’s air quality continues to deteriorate, according to the Environmental Status Report 2025-26 presented on Wednesday. Fine particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide levels rose over five years, especially in Shivajinagar and Lohegaon. The report said vehicular emissions and rapid urbanisation caused this, urging stricter dust control and more electric vehicles.
