Vijay's film Jana Nayagan crossed the Rs 260 crore mark worldwide. On Day 8, the movie saw 21.58% occupancy at theatres. Producer KVN Venkat Narayanan said, “Unfortunately, we received an ‘A’ certificate.” The film faces stiff competition from other releases, and many fans feel the rating hurt its box office.
