Inside Netflix, Prime Video's Fight to Reshape France Streaming Rules

Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are fighting France’s strict streaming rules in court. Since January 2022, these services must invest 20% of their French revenue into local productions. A source close to Netflix said, “For us, it’s an unsustainable equation: more obligations, a less favorable release window, and the latest agreement.”
