RBI asks banks to install fake currency detection machines at branches along international borders

The Reserve Bank of India on Friday directed banks to install note authentication machines at branches located near international borders. The central bank said, "efforts of some of the banks in the matter were not adequate." Staff must also get training on security features to help detect fake currency notes.
