Loan growth remains strong, shows latest RBI sectoral data

Banking credit to industries grew 19.2 percent year on year, latest RBI sectoral data for June 2026 showed. Personal loans also remained strong, rising 16 percent. Medium enterprises saw the fastest growth at 30 percent. Gold jewellery loans surged 93 percent, while credit card growth fell to just 2 percent.
