Britain unveils £8.4 billion boost for nuclear submarine fleet

Britain announced an £8.4 billion investment Wednesday for its Dreadnought Class nuclear submarine programme. The funding supports 47,000 jobs and apprenticeships over the next decade. BAE Systems got the majority of the money to build four submarines. Prime Minister Andy Burnham said it “will protect Britain for decades to come.”
