Is AI destroying university scholarship?

Academic Kylie Moore-Gilbert says universities are turning into degree-printing factories because of AI. She wrote in The Age earlier this year that she told her step-daughter to think twice about going to university. She fears students use AI to write essays, which means they are not actually learning anything.
