Wedding industry pleads with Noosa Council to slash permit fees

The wedding industry wants Noosa Council to slash permit fees after costs rose to $799. Photographer Lindy Yewen said, "They're paying high fees for accommodation. Dining is expensive here. So then you go and throw another $800 at them and it's off putting." Many couples now avoid the region for ceremonies.
