DeepSeek is developing a massive AI data centre in Inner Mongolia

China’s DeepSeek is planning a massive artificial-intelligence data centre in Inner Mongolia. The Hangzhou-based company wants to add one gigawatt of compute in Ulanqab, located 350 kilometres northwest of Beijing. This ambitious move shows the startup can compete with Silicon Valley, as many firms race to build better computing infrastructure.
