Fires in Spokane, Washington, burn 600 structures, force 60,000 evacuations

Wildfires in eastern Washington state forced 60,000 people to evacuate and destroyed 600 structures by Sunday, authorities said. The fires burned 21 square kilometres near Spokane over the weekend. Senator Maria Cantwell said, "We are not out of danger," as crews continue to fight the blazes across the dry region.
