This hydrogen turbine turns controlled explosions into electricity

The KIT team generated electricity using a hydrogen gas turbine that does not rely on a mechanical compressor. The new test ran for more than five minutes. Professor Daniel Banuti said, "This is an important step toward highly efficient and flexible hydrogen energy for a fossil-free energy system."
