Scientists just 3D printed one of the hardest metals on Earth
Researchers tested a new way to 3D print tungsten carbide using additive manufacturing. This approach uses a laser and heated wire to build parts, which could reduce waste and lower production costs. The study, published in the International Journal of Refractory Metals and Hard Materials, showed this method preserves material strength.
