A cooperative approach to reproductive success

New research from Syracuse University shows that arthropod sperm often work together to reach an egg. Scientists found this cooperative behavior is widespread, not rare. "Fertilization is often viewed as a competition among individual sperm, but in many species we see cells working together," said professor Steve Dorus recently.
