Why bypoll results are bad news for BJP, but not good news for Opposition

Counting trends for three Assembly bypolls show the BJP may lose two seats. In Bankipur, Prashant Kishor of the Jan Suraaj Party is leading by over 12,000 votes. The BJP’s vote share fell from 62 per cent in the 2025 state polls to 34 per cent in this bypoll.
