Modi govt distances itself from Hasina event amid strain in India-Bangla ties

The Modi government on Tuesday said it had no involvement in an upcoming press conference by Sheikh Hasina. Official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stressed that the government had "no involvement whatsoever" in the event. This move comes as Bangladesh officials warned that Hasina’s political activities could affect ties between the two nations.
