Downpour drenches Lucknow; orange alert for 12 UP districts

Lucknow recorded 40.2 mm of rainfall on Tuesday as the monsoon strengthened across Uttar Pradesh. An orange alert for heavy rain was issued for 12 districts. "Active monsoon conditions are expected to prevail in the region over the next 2 to 3 days," a meteorological official said about the weather.
