India invites Bangladesh PM Tarique Rahman to attend BRICS summit amid Sheikh Hasina row

India invited Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to the BRICS summit in New Delhi on September 12 and 13. The invitation was sent because he chairs BIMSTEC. Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, "The invitation has been extended as per the standard practice being followed in BRICS for the outreach sessions."
