Colorectal cancer enters India's top five cancers in GLOBOCAN 2024

Colorectal cancer is now India's fourth most common cancer, according to GLOBOCAN 2024 data. With 83,577 new cases recorded in 2024, it moved up from sixth place in 2022. Dr Vinayak Maka said, "Colorectal cancer is rising in India largely because of changing lifestyle." Experts blame poor diets and inactivity.
