Sebi’s closing auction for stocks could rein in manipulation

Sebi will implement a closing auction session for derivative stocks from 3 August 2026. This move aims to improve price discovery and stop market manipulation. Faisal Mohammed of Zerodha said, "It will make manipulation of prices during the closing session much more difficult." Many stakeholders hope this brings better transparency.
