Asian stocks mixed as yen jumps against dollar, while oil prices fall

Asian stocks were mixed Monday after the US and Japan acted to prop up the yen against the dollar. Oil prices fell about 5 per cent as US President Donald Trump said he would order US forces to refrain from attacks against Iran, hoping for a deal to end fighting.
