7,000 pearls, 600 hours, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: The making of a Cannes moment

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan turned heads at the 79th International Film Festival in a custom Tony Ward gown. The stunning dress used more than 7,000 pearls and 40 meters of silk taffeta. Designer Tony Ward said it was a "creation where intricate handwork meets sculptural volume" after 600 hours of work.
