REITs, publicly-listed InvITs may get to raise foreign capital via DRs

The Securities and Exchange Board of India on Tuesday proposed allowing REITs and publicly-listed InvITs to raise foreign capital through depository receipts. Sebi said, "A framework for issuance of DRs will enable REITs and InvITs to issue DRs in permissible jurisdictions." This move aims to attract more global investment into India.
